Rubber Roller Processing Technology

1. Cleaning the Roller Core: For new roller cores, clean the surface with a cleaning agent to remove oil and other contaminants. For old roller cores, remove the outer layer of rubber coating and clean any remaining rubber from the core surface.

2. Roughening the Roller Core Surface: Roughen the surface of the roller core to increase the adhesion area between the core and the rubber coating.

3. Sandblasting: Sandblast the roughened roller core. Different types of abrasive are selected based on the roller core material. Sandblasting further roughens the surface, resulting in better adhesion between the rubber coating and the core.

4. Rubber Coating: Coat the roller core according to customer requirements. Different coating materials achieve different results. For example, rubber coating offers good ink resistance, polyurethane coating offers good wear and pressure resistance, and silicone coating offers good high-temperature resistance.

5. Roller Vulcanization: The coated roller typically requires 10-15 hours of vulcanization. After vulcanization, the roller core and the coating will bond tightly, forming a complete coated roller.

6. Roller Grinding: Grinding is performed according to the customer's required dimensions and shape. For customers with high surface finish requirements, CNC grinding machines are used to achieve a mirror finish on the rollers.
