Rubber Roller Maintenance

* Newly cast rubber rollers should not be used immediately.

Because the internal structure of newly cast rubber rollers is not yet stable, immediate use can easily reduce their service life. Therefore, newly cast rubber rollers should be left to stand for a period of time to allow them to come into contact with the external temperature and humidity, maintaining a relatively stable state. This increases the toughness of the rubber and improves durability.

* Proper storage of idle rubber rollers.

Usable rubber rollers should be cleaned, wrapped in plastic film, and placed on a roller rack. Do not pile them together haphazardly or lean them against a wall, as this can cause unnecessary damage to the rubber. During transportation to the casting plant, used rubber rollers should not be thrown, placed, or subjected to heavy pressure. Keep the roller core straight and not bent to ensure proper use.

* The roller shaft and bearings should be well lubricated.

We know that the precision of the roller shaft and bearings directly affects the ink transfer and distribution effect. Poor lubrication leading to wear and tear on the roller shaft and bearings will inevitably result in uneven ink coverage during printing. It can also cause printing streaks due to issues like glue skipping and slippage. Therefore, it is essential to regularly lubricate the roller shaft and bearings to prevent wear and tear on machine parts, ensure proper roller operation, and guarantee print quality.
