Core Characteristics Of PU Rollers: Why They Become Industrial All-rounders

PU rollers, short for polyurethane elastomer rollers, possess unique physicochemical properties due to their molecular structure. First, abrasion resistance is a significant advantage of PU rollers. Compared to traditional rubber rollers, PU rollers offer 3-5 times greater abrasion resistance, making them particularly suitable for high-load, high-frequency friction scenarios, such as printing press rollers and textile mill guide rollers. Second, their oil resistance prevents them from swelling and deforming easily when in contact with lubricating oils and solvents, ensuring equipment stability in industries like metallurgy and machining. Furthermore, PU rollers exhibit strong elastic recovery, quickly returning to their original shape even under prolonged pressure, reducing accuracy deviations caused by deformation.

More importantly, PU rollers can be customized in terms of hardness and color by adjusting the formula. For example, the hardness can be adjusted from Shore A20 to Shore D90, meeting the cushioning needs of soft rollers (such as labeling rollers in the packaging industry) as well as the support requirements of hard rollers (such as conveyor rollers in the steel industry). This flexibility makes it a "top performer" in cross-industry applications.
